Thread Sketched T’s on Etsy

I finally posted a couple of my thread sketched t’s on my etsy site.  I know that Jay really likes them and that he recognizes what they pictures are just thrills me to pieces.   If he knows what they are then I know that other boys will know what they are as well.

Let’s see how well they do….Fingers crossed.

What do you think?

Ok, these aren’t the best pictures but they are what I could get since I forgot to take pictures of the shirt without Jay in it.

and the back

You can’t really tell right now but they are thread sketched onto the shirt with my own drawings of the truck, car, fire truck and 18 wheeler. Once I get the shirt washed and dried I will come back and add a better picture of the shirt.

EDIT:

Here are better pictures of the shirt itself without Jay in it.

The Quilts are finished!!!!

Yeah!!!! I thought that those were going to take me forever and I wouldn’t finish until Nattie came, but I managed to finish them.

Here are the pictures of the finished quilts. You can click on the pictures to make them bigger so that you can see them better.

Quilt for Natalia Elise

Here is the back.

I really like this quilt, you can’t see it and pictures really can’t show it but I did a stippling stich in the shape of flowers in the non painted areas so that it holds the quilt together instead of tieing it together like I would have normally done or like I did with the ABC quilt.

Which I have here.

and the back.

For the ABC quilt I tied it all together and then put a blue and white striped flannel on the back and bound it off in white polyester quilt binding. Since this was my first quilt like this originally I know where I can improve for next time but I don’t think that it looks to bad…though there are a few mistakes in my paintings….but that is ok.

Let me know what you think.

Mama’s package

I have sent my mom a package, I am sure that you will really like what I put in there other than what I owed you already.

Here are some pictures of the shawl that I had crocheted for her for Christmas I think. Here is me modeling it along with my big ole pregnant body….

And here is one of the back. You can’t really see the details but the yarn is so soft and it is kinda rumbly with lots of texture. I plan to make one of my own for this winter….I really like it.

Because it was her birthday last week. (29 forever!) I added a few other items to the box for her. Like this….

And a few other soaps that I had left over since they were so nice to use….(give them away if you don’t want them.)

Love you mama.

Nattie’s Blessing Gown

I have finally finished it!! Yea!!!!

This gown was originally meant to be for Jay and the rest of our children. Unfortunately when Reinaldo saw it he didn’t want his son to be blessed in a dress. It is not a dress. It is a gown. For babies there is a difference.  (Just wait until I make Jay a kilt.)

Anyways, I didn’t have time or material to go back and change the bottom half into pants so the gown was unfinished until now. I added the trim around the chest, finished the sleeves and hemmed both sleeves and the bottom of the gown. I wanted to put a lace ruffle around the bottom with a matching pink ribbon that would run through it but I thought that was over the top. I like this simple gown. I might add a rose or something to the collar…. I am still thinking about that.

Here are the finished pictures. Tell me what you think….

The Quilt for the girl….

I am almost finished.  I just have to put it all together now. I am really happy with the way it turned out but of course after I finished it I started to think of all the stuff that I could have done which I will do next time.

Here is a picture of the top. I will put a backing on and decide how I want to edge the thing.

Here are some closer pictures of the painted panels. I got the images from Needlecrafter.com and instead of embroidery I decided to paint them in.  It was more fun but more detailed oriented.  That and I had to make sure that I didn’t get any paint on the other panels, which didn’t work either since I got a black smudge on one of them. I am not telling which one, because if you don’t notice neither will anyone else.

The middle panel will have her name painted on it as well. I wanted to give my kids something that I made that they can grow with and then pass down.

My Sweater attempt…not bad….

Ok, so it isn’t really a real sweater but I thought that this would be really cute and I think that it came out really nice with the cherry fabric. Only I can’t wear it now since it is the middle of summer and my pregnancy hormones refuse to look at it.

Here it is in its glory….
Ok, so glory might not be the word that I want to use since I am trying to take a picture of the sweatshirt with me in it and you can see all the background of my office.

Here is a pic with it just hanging on the door.

and a close up

Look at what I made Jay!!!!

Since Jay is such a busy Thomas the Train fan I decided to make him a little outfit dedicated to his passion for anything with trains or Thomas.

I loved the fabric, besides it was the only fabric that I could find at the time, and Julian loved it too. As soon as I brought it home he just wanted to play with it. He had a mild tantrum when I took it so that it could be washed.

But here you go!!
