It has been a year since I last wrote on my blog here. I was having issues in the last platform my blog was on. It kept getting viruses and I didn't want to pass those along if I could help it.
But I am back. There is a new thing going now too. I am making YouTube videos. I volunteer at my kids elementary school. I teach sewing in what they call Makerspace. It is an area that the kids can go to during recess to just blow off steam and create things using recyclable items that are donated from parents. The librarian that is in charge, Mrs. Matheson, sent an email out stating that there was some sewing machines and if anyone would be interested in volunteering to teach the kids. That was right up my alley so I volunteered. I have been doing this for two years now and love it. Last summer after the 5th graders were getting ready to move to middle school they were complaining that now they wouldn't be able to sew so I suggested making videos if they decided to follow. They said yes, and so I did and still do.
I teach easy projects mostly. I try to get as much information out there as I can. You can follow me on YouTube. My channel is called Mrs.G's Sewing Space.
